Hawaii Local Lodge 1979 has concluded this weeks stewards training. Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines IAM stewards participated in this advanced training course. District 141 Education continues to work with Local Lodges around the country to help its stewards and membership. Check out this weeks video report.
Guide Dogs of America brings service dogs to blind and visually impaired men and women in the US and Canada, as well as providing training on their proper use and care. GDA depends on donor support for the funding needed to continue this important work. For years, IAM141 members have supported Guide Dogs of America through awareness campaigns and fundraising efforts like the GDA Golf Tournament held this week at Local 1886 in Denver. This year’s annual golf tournament was a great success, and enjoyed by everyone… but most especially by the guide dogs themselves, who helped the golfers complete the challenging 18 holes at Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield, Colorado. A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated and made the event a success.

This past week, IAM members from various Districts and Locals including locals of District 141 went thru Leadership II training at the W3 IAM Training center. The successful Spanish and English groups had 4 days of classroom training and 1 day practical training going to Capitol Hill in D.C.
