Union Leader and Educator empowering the next generation of Machinists
Greg Klujewski, a longtime union activist from Local Lodge 1487, has been appointed Vice President at Large for IAM District 141 by President Mike Klemm. His appointment was unanimously approved by the District Executive Board.
As District Vice President, Greg will serve the membership in any capacity when called upon by President Klemm.
Klujewski began his career at United Airlines in 1998 as a Lead Ramp Serviceperson. He became a union steward in 2000, serving until 2015. From 2016 to 2021, he held the role of Ramp Committee Secretary while also serving as Recording Secretary of Local 1487 from 2016 to 2022. He has chaired the ORD Ramp Grievance Committee since 2021, and served as District 141 Educator beginning in 2022 and District Auditor from 2024 to 2025.
“I have no agenda but to serve,” Greg said. “Helping members daily has been rewarding. Serving at the local and district level has been a privilege. Helping a member win a grievance or return to work from an unjust discharge has been the most rewarding part of my job as chairman of the committee.”
Greg credits mentors such as Erik Stenberg, Mike Cyscon, Craig Krzewina, Joey D, and Gary Schinski with shaping his career and supporting him in his work.
District 141 President Mike Klemm said Greg’s appointment reflects his decades of dedication and integrity:
“Greg has been a dedicated advocate for our members for more than two decades. His experience, commitment, and integrity make him an invaluable part of our leadership team, and I’m proud to welcome him as a Vice President at Large.”
Beyond his union service, Greg is an avid golfer and proud husband and father who loves spending time with his wife Roxanne and teaching his daughter Morgan the game.
Looking ahead, Greg says his focus will be mentoring the next generation of Machinists in the same way his mentors guided him.
