Overall compensation is essentially the total package of benefits and earnings you receive from your employer for the work you do. It's a blend of various forms of payment and benefits tailored to reward and support employees in multifaceted ways. This mix can include a variety of elements, such as: Base Wages: The fixed salary or hourly pay you receive. Profit Sharing: Bonus payments based on the company's profitability. Health Care Benefits: Contributions to health insurance to manage medical costs. Pension Payments and 401 (k): Savings for retirement, to which the employer might contribute a certain amount. Other Premiums: Additional payments for specific roles or skills, like leadership roles or specialized team functions. Shift Differentials: Extra pay to attract workers to certain shifts Balancing these components can be challenging, as it requires weighing the immediate and long-term benefits of each against the others. What's more important can differ significantly among workgroups and individual employees, depending on their unique needs, life stages, and financial goals. The next section includes a list of some of the elements that combine to form your Overall Compensation. Please read each item carefully and tell our Negotiators which needs improvement the most. Remember, the things we've listed are just part of what you get in your total pay package. Some extras like overtime, choosing to skip overtime, penalties for mandatory overtime, and double pay for extra hours aren't mentioned here. That's because they're not always part of your basic pay. Please Note: To make sure that your entries are logged correctly, please make each choice only once. disclaimer *Got it.First Choice - This is the item you feel is MOST in need of improvement. *First ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsSecond Choice *Second ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsThird Choice *Third ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsFourth Choice *Fourth ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsFifth Choice *Fifth ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsSixth Choice *Sixth ChoicePaid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsSeventh Choice *Seventh Choice Paid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsEighth Choice *Eighth Paid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsNinth Choice - This is the item you feel is LEAST in need of improvement (copy) *Ninth Paid HolidayHigher Profit SharingControlled Health Care CostsLess Time to Top-OutPension ContributionsShift Differentials401 (k) MatchSkill PayLead PremiumsWhich is more important to you? *More profit sharingHigher base wagesPreviousNextArticle Four: Hours and Overtime Please rate the shift bid process *Rate 1 out of 5Rate 2 out of 5Rate 3 out of 5Rate 4 out of 5Rate 5 out of 5How satisfied are you with the process for determining how Storekeepers bid for days off, hours, and work area? How many shift bids would you like to see in a year? *Select1 Shift bid a year2 Shift bids a year3 or more Shift bids a yearHow OFTEN do you use day and shift trades? *SelectVery oftenOftenOccasionallyRarelyHow do you MOSTLY USE day and shift trades? *I pick up extra hoursI give away hoursI pick up and give away hoursPreviousNextArticle Five: Vacations and Holidays Which is more important to you? *More fixed holidaysFaster vacation accrualsWhich is more important to you? *Fixed HolidaysFloating HolidaysIn your opinion, which of these is most in need of improvement? *Block Vacation biddingDay at a Time (DATV) biddingI am happy with both of theseDo you feel you have a healthy work / life balance? *SelectYesNoPreviousNextArticle Six: Leaves of Absence and Sick Leave Have you ever taken any of the following leaves of absence?
