The new vacation rules will be implemented in two stages. The first will begin immediately on the date of signing. The second will begin +3 years after the date of signing.

 

Any Association Member who is entitled to an increase in vacation during 2020 will get a lump sum payment for that vacation.

Increases sick days per year to 10 days
The first 20 days of OJI will be paid in full by the company. After 20 days, employees may use their sick bank to supplement workers' compensation
Sick leave bank maximum increased to 1600 hours
Upon separation from the company, a one-time cash payout in the amount of $9.20 for each unused hour in sick leave bank
Full sick pay starting on the first day, instead of half pay
Increases the number of eligible family members for bereavement benefits
Increase to 10 Holidays per year (adding President's Day, The Day After Thanksgiving and Veterans' Day)
Double time and a half pay for working on a holiday
If not working on a holiday, employees will be paid straight time rate for scheduled shift
Ability to comp holiday hours up to a max of 140 hours, and hours can carry over
